Social Networking Sites. Social networks and networking sites are defined by the ability of the members to create personalized content and link their profiles to others. Some use the concept of friends to allow linking between profiles. Site such as MySpace and Friendster fall into this category. While these networking sites are based on personal profiles and links to friends, they usually offer blogging, message forums, video and photo upload, and other viral features.
